Hamgar turned into a church building in Fafo

Steve Parker writes to us from Burkina Faso:

I went to Fafo with Butch Berner, a missionary evangelist visiting with us from his base in Zambia. Butch shared the sessions with me and taught on Healing the Sick. God blessed mightily and the healings were too numerous for all to testify.

Butch also preached in night meetings in the open air and had a number healed and also many commit to give their lives to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

I thank God for the arrival of Patsy Fuller who answered my distress call and drove 4 hours through the bush to interpret into French from English for Butch's sessions. The first day I had both interpreted for Butch and taught my own subjects and was exhausted in the heat until Patsy came to take over for the last couple of days. Patsy also helped us out hugely when she happened on me and Butch broken down with my Nissan on the side of the road about 100 miles from Ouagadougou on the way back Sunday afternoon. She and her co-worker helped me find a local tow bar to attach and then towed my car all the way back home! I have since had another motor put in and it's back on the road.

Most of the 21 churches of the Fafo district were represented at our meetings, and the Lord gave an increase over last year's 450 or so delegates to over 600 this year. The district reported planting 5 new churches since our last conference with them in 2002, and some also talked about miracles they had seen since the prayers of that year. About a dozen people responded to the call to enter the ministry also. A wind storm came up and destroyed the temporary hangar made from iron sheets and straw only a day before we were to begin the meetings. God's love and protection were shown to us in that the brothers had just enough time to rebuild it before our meetings, and because if we had been under the hanger when it fell many people could have been killed or injured. I included pictures of the hangar on the web site. Butch also ministered at other places we scheduled for him while I was busy at Ramongo and elsewhere, a few days with the Nossin district of churches and at a Bible school outside of town and a couple of other churches.

Here are some other pictures you might enjoy from Fafo!
