The 2008 Education Year
Following 8:30 worship and morning hospitality at 9:30, join us for church school
at 9:45.
We have classes for ages 2 through adult. A nursery is provided for
infants up to 2 years of age and is staffed by paid staff and church members.
ADULTS:
Men's Class meets at
8:30 am in the
Administration/South Wing across from the Office. Please contact
Peter Rieke
for more information.
Christian Lifestyles meets at 9:45 in the Christian Lifestyles room
next to the library (across the hall from the church office in the
South wing of the building).
The Hank Williams Class also
meets at 9:45 in the room at the
end of the North wing past the Choir Room. Ruth and Clyde Pope
alternate leading the class. The format is generally
lecture and discussion is
invited and encouraged.
The Parlor Class meets in the
Lambeth Parlor
near the main kitchen at the end of the Administration wing. The class is currently studying the book of
Romans. This is a
discussion format class with leadership provided by various members. Other studies undertaken by this class include
Proverbs, the Parables, the book of Esther, a Comprehensive study on Heaven,
Phillip Keller's A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23 , studies of the
Books of John ,Luke, Acts and Romans, Bill Hybel's book on prayer Too Busy
Not to Pray, a study of the Reformation using the book
Church History in Plain Language
by Bruce Shelley, and a study of I & II Samuel, the Acts of the
Apostles, and Philippians. Curriculum is usually the Bible plus a
commentary such as
The Letters to the Philippians, Colossians, and
Thessalonians
by William Barclay. Anyone interested in providing
leadership for the class on a particular
topic is encouraged to
