  • The Preschool:
Quail Hollow Presbyterian Church Preschool opened in September 1978 as a service to the church and the community.  Policy is set by the Preschool Committee comprised of church members, a parent representative and the director.  The Preschool Committee is responsible to the Session of the church.

Quail Hollow Presbyterian Church Preschool employs experienced, educated teachers who participate in many programs and seminars in order to continue their education in early childhood development.    Back To Top

  • Parental Involvement:
Parents are an important part of our Preschool.  Parents are encouraged to observe classes, volunteer time in the classrooms, attend educational opportunities, have conferences with teachers, serve on our Parent Council and participate in Parent Council activities.  Back To Top

  • Curriculum Statement:
Guiding the behavior and development of preschool children is an exciting and challenging responsibility.  Quail Hollow Presbyterian Church Preschool establishes our curriculum based on how children learn rather than what they should know.

Preschool children need to play, to explore, to imagine, to create, to do. We believe that children learn most effectively through a play-oriented approach with a curriculum specifically suited to each developmental level.  These principles are based on professionally researched guidelines defined by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.  Furthermore, we encourage children to learn and grow by surrounding them with a Christian environment of unconditional love and acceptance that will nurture independence, a cooperative spirit and respect for self, others and for all living things.

Our program’s goal is to create a warm and loving, child-sized, child-centered atmosphere based on the needs and interests of children aged one to four.

Class hours are from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm for all ages.  Children are asked to bring a simple lunch and drink each day.   Back To Top

Classes begin September 2, 2008.
