Dareion Malone

Director of Music

Back to Our Leadership

Over the past 30 years, Dareion has had the opportunity to serve congregations of various denominations and cultural backgrounds. The one thing that has remained consistent in each setting is that his intense love for God, God’s people, and worship permeates through his ministry of music.

Dareion understands lectionary worship and also understands that many church communities are intergenerational and therefore music should function as to not alienate anyone in the music ministry or the congregation. For this reason, he is intentional about offering a vast array of music in a most excellent way such that it pleases God and edifies the singers, instrumentalists, and congregants of all ages. As they are deeply important and personal to his faith, special attention will be given to Advent, Christmas, Lent, and Easter.

For the past 11 years, he has been a part of the Charlotte music community as a chorister, soloist, community ensemble director, church musician, and collegiate and high school music educator.

In addition to his job at Quail Hollow, Dareion also serves as vice-principal at Sun Valley High School in Monroe.
