Quail Hollow Preschool

Quail Hollow Preschool, a ministry of Quail Hollow Presbyterian Church, is a nurturing, child-centered educational facility that opened its doors to the Charlotte community in 1978. For 40 years, families have regarded Quail Hollow Preschool as one of the top early education choices in Charlotte.

Quail Hollow is a place where educators, children, and parents of diverse backgrounds unite in a relaxed,

play-oriented environment to build a solid foundation for their children.

Educational Philosophy

The educational philosophy at Quail Hollow is based on the development of the whole child.  Lead by Preschool Director Erin Gillis, our experienced teachers and administrators support each child with loving encouragement to explore new concepts, situations, and friendships at the appropriate developmental speed. Quail Hollow believes how a child learns is most important, and our teachers want children to have the confidence to enthusiastically and successfully progress to the elementary school level. The curriculum purposefully exposes the children to a wide range of activities (academic, physical, artistic, social) to stimulate their own unique thought process and their life-long love of learning. The results show in the smile of each Quail Hollow student, parent, and teacher!

Student Enrichment

Through tuition, we are able to provide class activities, supplies, and special programming. Starting with the toddler class, all students attend chapel time and are treated to many special activities and visitors throughout the year. All new students receive a Quail Hollow school bag to transport their belongings to and from school.

Parents are always welcome in the classroom. Quail Hollow hosts many family-centered events giving plentiful opportunities for parental involvement during and after school hours.

Health & Safety

We are committed to the safety of both students and staff. During the previous two school years, we successfully navigated the COVID-19 pandemic with limited impact on our programming. By adjusting class sizes, increasing cleaning/disinfection measures, and implementing specific safety protocols, we were able to limit exposures and remain open. These measures are outlined in our handbook and COVID addendum and will continue until they are deemed unnecessary.

We are very proud of the success we have had during unprecedented times and grateful to have been able to provide an opportunity for our students to continue to develop prior to entering elementary school!
